The MileWise Story

At a glance

A sneak peek into what we're building.

About

Better food
at the foundation.

MileWise is a science-led, food-as-medicine startup developing next-generation core foods for metabolic health, built on climate-resilient gluten free ancient grains.

For thousands of years, ancient grains nourished civilizations. The shift to refined flours is just over a century old, and it has come with a global metabolic crisis, the modern food system has yet to solve. The fix isn't another supplement, shake, or restrictive diet. It's better food at the foundation.

We're building that food-engineered for metabolic health, built on grains that need less water and less input, designed for the way people actually eat. Better for the body. Better for the land. Better for the farmers who grow our food.

Meet the Boost Bun.

A meal-in-a-bun, engineered for the body, designed for the day.

The Boost Bun is the first commercial expression of the MileWise flour formulation. A ready-to-eat, high-protein high fiber bun delivering 18 grams of protein per serving, a significantly lower glycemic load than conventional bread, and naturally gluten-free. Built for breakfast, post-workout, and any moment a real meal needs to fit into a real day.

Launching in six flavors across vegetarian and non-vegetarian variants. Coming soon to gyms, co-working spaces, and quick-commerce shelves.

Asian Chilli Soy Boost Bun

Science

We rebuilt the flour.

From the ancient grain up.

At the foundation of MileWise is a proprietary sprouted millet flour formulation, a multi-component, multi-process fiber and starch architecture that delivers low glycemic response, high protein, high fiber, and naturally gluten-free performance, without compromising on the taste or texture of conventional wheat. Built on three of the world's most ancient grains, all cultivated by humans for over 7,000 years.

01

Low Glycemic

Engineered for stable blood sugar and sustained energy.

02

High Protein, High Fiber

Built on a multi-grain protein matrix and prebiotic fiber profile.

03

Naturally Gluten-Free

No refined flour. No whole wheat. No compromise.

Impact

Beyond the Bun:
a demand-side intervention.

MileWise isn't just a consumer brand. It's a deliberate intervention in a global food system that must become more climate-resilient, more nutritionally restorative, and more economically equitable in this decade. Millet, our foundation grain, is one of the most strategically important climate-resilient crops of the coming decade.

Climate-resilient grain

Millets require 30–40% less water than wheat or rice, are largely rainfed, and tolerate the heat and drought volatility that climate change is delivering to agricultural regions worldwide. Shifting consumer demand toward climate-resilient grains is one of the most direct levers available for reducing the water and input intensity of the food system.

SDG 2 – Zero Hunger
SDG 6 – Clean Water
SDG 13 – Climate Action

A new opportunity for regional grain economies

Global food-grade millet supply chains remain underdeveloped and are largely import-dependent in most consumer markets. As global demand for low-GI, gluten-free, climate-resilient grains accelerates, MileWise creates the demand-side foundation that farming regions will need to diversify into climate-resilient grain cultivation - opening regional economic opportunities worldwide.

SDG 8 – Decent Work
SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption
SDG 13 – Climate Action

Three outcomes, one product system

Better metabolic health for consumers. Better climate resilience for the land. More equitable economics for the farmers who grow it. MileWise uses consumer-facing product innovation to redirect demand toward a grain that is better for human health, better for the land, and better for the rural economies that depend on it.

SDG 3 – Good Health
SDG 10 – Reduced Inequalities
SDG 13 – Climate Action

MileWise's core innovation and commercial products directly advance seven UN Sustainable Development Goals.
